The Abner Paki Halo Kane'ohe Courthouse is a 25,000 SF two story facility. It houses one prototype rural courtroom and one standard trial courtroom in addition to ancillary support facilities. Both courtrooms, judicial support spaces and district court clerks offices are housed on a main level. 80 additional parking stalls are provided on grade along with a loading area encompassing mechanical and electrical support facilities.
Entry to the main level is achieved by a grand stair placed in proximity to public parking with an accessible elevator.
This state of the art facility was designed to encourage a flexibility of use while incorporating changes in technology that anticipate the initiation of legislative mandates.
