Built in 1904, Royal Elementary is Honolulu's oldest school. The design and construction of the Royal Elementary School Project provides a new two story building that houses new administration office facility on the ground floor and a new elementary library on the second floor. This new building facility has allowed the old administration and library areas to be converted back to needed classrooms and school support areas; provide more efficient parking and fire lane access to give emergency vehicles better access to the entire campus, and provide new outdoor basketball courts.
