Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Job Captain to join our team for a long-term, full-time position.

As an Architectural Job Captain, you will lead the successful production and delivery of architectural projects from conception to completion. You will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing various aspects of our projects, ensuring they meet our standards of quality and align with our clients' vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

  • Code Compliance: Stay up to date with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure projects meet all required standards.

  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of project documentation and compliance with design standards.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and design teams to develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, and budgets.

  • Construction Administration: Oversee construction activities, including site visits, reviewing submittals, and ensuring compliance with design intent and local building codes.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a Hawaii resident with the ability to work in-office. No relocation or international applicants will be considered. This is not a remote position.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture from an accredited institution highly preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience as an Architectural Job Captain, Senior Drafter, Architect, or similar role.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Team player with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

 

Technical Requirements

  • High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape3d, and Photoshop are a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Strong in architectural detailing.

  • Familiarity with current building codes and regulations.

 

Salary Range

$75,000 to $85,000

Salary is commensurate with an overall evaluation of your work experience, technical skills, and people skills.
